Diaverum appoints new CFO and new Chief Strategy & Health Policy Affairs Officer
Munich, 19 January 2015 – Diaverum, one of the leading renal care providers worldwide, has appointed two German top managers to join the Executive Team. As of February 1st, Martin E. Loeffler, an internationally experienced finance executive takes on the role of Chief Financial Officer from Annette Kumlien, now SVP, Chief Operating Officer at Diaverum. The Strategic Office function has been expanded by adding Governmental Affairs and Health Economics and is now headed by Dr Claus Biermann, who already worked as Executive Advisor for Diaverum in 2014. Both report directly to Dag Andersson, CEO and President of Diaverum.
Diaverum enters Asian market by acquiring kidney centres in Kazakhstan

The centres will shortly begin the integration into the global renal care network of Diaverum across Europe, Middle East, Latin America and Australia. Diaverum implements Renal Care Services provision contract in Saudi Arabia
Munich / Riyadh, 18 November, 2014 – Diaverum, one of the leading renal care providers worldwide, today officially launched the Renal Care Services provision project and inaugurated the Renal Care Center in the Prince Mohamed bin Abdulaziz Hospital in Riyadh. The event marks a key milestone within the contract with the Ministry of Health for providing dialysis services for 5,000 patients in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During the last few months Diaverum has already opened two additional centers in Jeddah and Onezah. The Riyadh launch took place under the auspices of HE Eng. Adel Fakieh, Acting Minister of Health, Saudi Arabia.
Diaverum education programme Competence in Practice re-accredited by EDTNA/ERCA
Munich, 10 September 2014: The Diaverum Competence in Practice (CiP) programme, a pillar of the broader Diaverum nurse education programme, has been re-accredited for three years by the European Dialysis & Transplant Nurses Association/European Renal Care Association (EDTNA/ERCA). The unique education package consists of four training modules and is designed to promote patient safety and a high standard of patient care via continuous nurse education. The CiP is mandatory in all 18 countries worldwide, in which Diaverum operates kidney centres. The re-accreditation for this internal training programme will run until August 2017.
Diaverum to present at EDTNA/ERCA International Conference 2014
Munich / Riga, 5 September 2014 — Diaverum, one of the world’s leading integrated renal care providers, is hosting a Corporate Education Session at the 43nd EDTNA/ERCA International Conference 2014 in Riga, Latvia, and presenting its services within the exhibition. The session is entitled “Water is life - Putting dialysis water at the centre of patient care” and will discuss the aspects of dialysis water that affect patient safety and how these can be managed in order to minimise the potential risks to renal patients.
