Diaverum partners with Bureau Veritas to standardise ISO certifications

Munich, 19 November 2012 — Diaverum, one of the world’s leading renal care providers, has signed a contract with Bureau Veritas (BV) to standardise ISO certifications within the company. A pilot project has successfully been rolled out in Hungary and Poland earlier this year. In 2013 the ISO certification project will be expanded to an additional five countries in Diaverum.

Diaverum presents insights into the psychological aspects of AV fistula usage at EDTNA/ERCA Conference 2012

These findings are based on a recent study conducted amongst Diaverum patients in three countries.

Diaverum announces plans to grow in Peritoneal Dialysis

Munich / Lund, 24 August 2012 – Diaverum, one of the world’s leading renal care providers, is planning to give more patients the possibility to be treated with peritoneal dialysis to increase their quality of life. Peritoneal dialysis is the preferred treatment option for patients who either have problems with vascular access for haemodialysis or have a cardiovascular system not tolerating haemodialysis. It also offers patients who live far away from haemodialysis clinics and who prefer to be flexible and independent from clinic opening hours a good alternative. Currently Diaverum is treating 2 % of its patients with peritoneal dialysis; the target is to increase this number to 7 % by 2015.

Diaverum celebrates five years as an independent company

Munich / Lund, 2 July 2012 – Today, Diaverum is celebrating its 5th anniversary as an independent renal care provider. After the divestiture of the Gambro Healthcare Division in 2007 and the founding of Diaverum, the ‘new’ renal care provider has entered several new markets including Germany, Chile, Romania and Saudi Arabia. During this period the number of patients has increased by more than 50 per cent. Diaverum currently operates 252 clinics in 17 countries in Europe, Latin America, Australia and the Middle East.
