Portugal's Swedish Ambassador visits Diaverum
On the 2nd of October 2019, Diaverum Portugal proudly welcomed a visit from the Ambassador of Sweden, the Honourable Helena Pilsas Ahlin.
César Silva, Diaverum Portugal Managing Director and Head of Iberia, led the Diaverum delegation that received the Ambassador and distinguished guests. The delegation also included our distinguished Dr Fernando Macário, Chief Medical Officer and Iberia Medical Director, Marta Olim, Portugal Corporate Social Responsibility and Communications Director, and Mónica Silva, Nursing Director Portugal North. Representing the Estoril clinic were the Medical Director Carlos Lucas and Head Nurse Anabela Reis.
Our Estoril clinic was the venue chosen for the visit, for which the Ambassador was accompanied by Maria Linderyd, Counsellor at the Embassy of Sweden in Lisbon, Jennifer Ekström, President of the Board of Directors of The Swedish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce, and Niklas Knutsson, Secretary General of The Swedish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce.
It was a very positive meeting, during which Diaverum presented our care model, focused on the Patient Care Coordination programme, and the clinic facilities were admired by the Ambassador’s group. Following the visit, the parties shared a lunch, where new joint initiatives in social responsibility were discussed. The Diaverum team was honoured by the gift of a book with a very Swedish title, "Lagom", from the Ambassador.
Diaverum Portugal is an active member of The Swedish-Portuguese Chamber of Commerce.
