Diaverum Participates at Russian Conference on Value-Based Healthcare
Value-based healthcare is a concept which focuses on optimizing the relationship between treatment expenses and results. When results are analysed the patient is put in the centre. This healthcare delivery model differs from the fee-for service approach where healthcare providers are paid based on the number of treatments they deliver. A value-based healthcare system is beneficial for patients, healthcare providers, and healthcare payers. Since the value-based approach leads to healthier individuals, while the overall healthcare spending is reduced, it also benefits society as a whole.
The value-based healthcare concept was discussed in the 4th International Conference Scientific-Practical Congress in Moscow, Russia. The conference was organised by Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation, Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, Council Committee for Social Policy and Rosmedex, Center of Healthcare Quality Assessment and Control of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation.
Christina Sterner, SVP, Chief Commercial Officer at Diaverum attended the congress on Diaverum’s behalf and shared the company’s experience of being an innovative developer in an international environment with presence in 20 different countries.
“Diaverum’s experience draws from 25 years of experience in an international environment. Innovation and a patient-centred approach is key at Diaverum. We are honored and proud to be able to share our experience with others and contribute to the development of the value-based healthcare delivery model”, said Vladimir Gabrielyan, General Director, Diaverum Russia.
